Bonfy’s technology will be integrated into Kiteworks’ platform to classify and control sensitive data in real time, including information handled by AI agents.

Kiteworks has acquired Israeli cybersecurity startup Bonfy.AI in a deal estimated at tens of millions of dollars. The companies did not disclose the value of the transaction.

The acquisition brings technology designed to identify and control sensitive information in real time into Kiteworks’ broader enterprise data security platform.


Bonfy.AI’s technology classifies data at the moment it is exchanged and can apply security policies before a transfer is completed, including when the exchange involves an AI assistant or autonomous agent. Kiteworks is incorporating the technology into its Data Control Plane, extending its ability to govern sensitive information as it moves across an enterprise and beyond it.
